FAQ
One of the most common reasons is that the granola is not baked for long enough. To get that perfect crunch, you'll need to bake the granola until it's golden brown and dry to the touch.
Another reason could be that you're using too much liquid or sweetener in your recipe. These ingredients can make the granola too sticky and prevent it from becoming crispy. To avoid this, try reducing the amount of liquid or sweetener in your recipe and spreading the mixture out evenly on the baking sheet.
Lastly, make sure to let the granola cool completely before storing it in an airtight container. If it's still warm or moist, it will become soft and lose its crunchiness.
One of the best ways to ensure that your granola bars stay together is to use a binding agent such as honey, maple syrup, or nut butter.
These ingredients not only add flavor but also help to hold the bars together. Another tip is to press the granola mixture firmly into the pan before baking.
