Reindeer Christmas rice cakes are quick and easy snack. They are kid friendly, and can be adjusted to suit your tastes.

Choose from Nutella, biscoff spread, or even peanut butter, for the base of these reindeers.

You can make these rice cake reindeers treats with your kids or just surprise them on Christmas day.

They are also a great addition to a Christmas party if you are short on time or ideas of what to make.

Ingredients

  • Rice cakes
  • Nutella, Biscoff spread, or peanut butter
  • M&M’s: Preferably red or brown.
  • Candy Eyes: If you don’t have candy eyes, you could use dried fruit like sultanas or M&M's.
  • Dried Pretzels

Instructions

Step One: Spread the Nutella (or biscoff spread or peanut butter) on a rice cake.

Step Two: Place one M&M in the centre of the rice cake. This will be the nose.

Step Three: Above the M&M, place a candy eye on either side. If you don’t have candy eyes, you could use an M&M or even a dried fruit like a sultana.

Step Four: Place a pretzel on the top left side of the rice cake and another on the top right of the rice cake.

Repeat steps 1 to 4 for the remaining ingredients.

Tips for Success

These Christmas rice cake reindeers are best made just before serving.

Substitutions / Variations

If you can't get candy eyes, you could use sultanas instead, or even M&M's.

  • 4 Rice cakes
  • 3 tablespoons (70 grams, 2.47 ounces) Nutella, biscoff spread, or peanut butter
  • 4 M&M’s preferably red or brown
  • 8 Candy Eyes
  • 8 dried Pretzels

Instructions
 

  • Spread the Nutella (or biscoff spread or peanut butter) on a rice cake.
  • Place one M&M in the centre of the rice cake. This will be the nose.
  • Above the M&M, place a candy eye on either side. (see note 1).
  • Place a pretzel on the top left side of the rice cake and another on the top right of the rice cake.
  • Repeat steps 1 to 4 for the remaining ingredients.

    Even though it wasn't Christmas, the kids kept nagging me to make something Christmasy. These reindeer Christmas rice cakes were such a fun treat! The kids loved decorating them with pretzels and candy noses.
